A mere 450 units of the luxurious, special edition model will be available in the United States. Ingram Park Mazda San Antonio TXMazda Motor Corporation recently introduced a special edition of its mid-sized tall high-roof Mazda Biante minivan in Japan.

Ingram Park Mazda, a leading Mazda dealer in San Antonio, is excited to share this with you, as often Mazda’s newest endeavors begin in its home country.

The minivan is based on the Mazda Biante 20S, which includes i-stop – Mazda’s unique idling stop system, and the Mazda’s signature front design. The wing is a design motif of the company’s new design theme, KODO – Soul of Motion.

Like a minivan with an attitude, the vehicle takes the traditional body style and sleeks it out with more aerodynamic lines and Mazda’s signature front grill and headlights curving upward on the sides. The minivan is pretty right down to its tires: the GRANZ has 17” alloy wheels, and the GRANZ-C has 16” alloy wheels.

As the car drives away, followers will see a large back window underlined with horizontal lines surrounding the brake lights. Additional brake lights are vertical slivers on each side.

Aluminum Metallic has been added as a body color choice, which also includes like Brilliant Black and Crystal White Pearl Mica. The chrome trim pops against the striking paint colors.

It’s most likely only a matter of time before something like this is released here in the United States. Until then, stop by Ingram Park Mazda to see our selection of new and used Mazdas.

Diesel Coming to Mazda and Ingram Park Mazda

By Ingram Park Mazda | Posted in Car Models, Mazda CX-5 on Monday, January 30th, 2012 at 1:52 AM

Ingram Park Mazda, a leading Mazda dealer in San Antonio sees how many cars are moving away from gasoline, Mazda didn’t want to simply join the herd of electric vehicles.

Ingram Park Mazda San Antonio TX

To do that, Mazda is bringing in something unexpected – diesel.

Mazda is breaking away from the pack by pioneering a new era of diesel power, and we here at Ingram Park Nissan are along for the ride.

Mazda recently began production of the all-new Mazda CX-5, which will be the first car to fully embody the SkyActiv Technology – from the powertrain, body and chasis to its interior and exterior designs.

The vehicle will feature the SkyActiv-D diesel engine, which is 2.2 liters and super clean. The car has begun production in Hiroshima, Japan and will be introduced there in the spring, followed by Europe and the United States.

The engine is the world’s first diesel engine to comply with global exhaust gas regulations without needing an expensive nitrogen oxide aftertreatment system. The SkyActive-D engine precisely controls fuel injection and the exhaust valve’s opening and closing mechanism.

It achieves low compression ratios – the lowest in the world for a mass-produced diesel engine with 14:0:1 –without the common problems of poor starts and low combustion ability in the cold.

All these upgrades also make for an impressive fuel economy and torque that rivals a 4-liter V8 gasoline engine.

What’s not to love? We can’t wait to get these vehicles on our lot.

Until then, stop by our lot of new and used Mazdas in San Antonio, and see why Mazda is a pioneer and the only choice when it comes to buying a vehicle.

Our friendly and knowledgeable sales staff would love to send you out on a test drive, or give you a tour of a Mazda of your choice. We are passionate about our cars, but even more passionate about making sure you leave happy.

Our sales and service match the commitment to excellence that Mazda stands for.

We hope to see you soon!

Ingram Park Mazda is Your Trustworthy Recall Destination

By Ingram Park Mazda | Posted in Dealer News on Wednesday, January 25th, 2012 at 2:01 AM

Ingram Park Mazda San Antonio TXMazda Motor Corp. has recently announced it is recalling Tribute sport-utility vehicles from the 2001 and 2001 model years due to a brake fluid leak.

While we here at Ingram Park Mazda, a leading Mazda dealer in San Antonio, are sorry to see this happen, we are ready to fix the problem quickly and easily. We, along with all other Mazda dealers, are fully prepared to replace the master cylinder reservoir cap and modify the anti-lock braking system.

The brake fluid could corrode connectors and possibly cause issues. The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said the master cylinder reservoir cap needs to be replaced as it may allow leaking fluid to corrode the anti-lock braking system module’s wiring harness and cause melting, smoking or fire.

The recall includes nearly 52,400 vehicles built between April 200 and July 19, 2002.

Mazda’s No. 1 concern is safety, so we are urging all Tribute owners to check to see if their vehicle falls under these parameters and to get the problem fixed immediately.

Call our dealership and make a convenient appointment with the friendly and knowledgeable service team at Ingram Park Mazda, and we will make this problem nothing but a slight bump in the road for you.

When you drive a Mazda, you know you are driving a vehicle that continues to be inspected even after you bought it and that if problems arise, they will be dealt with efficiently.

If you don’t drive a Tribute, but are interested in a Mazda, stop by our lot of new and used Mazdas in San Antonio, and try one out for yourself. You will see that a Mazda is more than just a vehicle, it is an investment that will pay dividends in safety, quality, and drivability.

Come see what Mazda is all about – you won’t regret it.

We hope to see you soon!

As 2018 is understood to be a deadline, the release of a Mazda electric vehicle in the United States could come sooner.

Ingram Park Mazda: Innovation Headquarters

By Ingram Park Mazda | Posted in Dealer News on Tuesday, January 17th, 2012 at 12:00 AM

Ingram Park Mazda San Antonio TXMazda will soon have an exciting option for its customers looking to get more fuel for their buck.

The company recently announced it will be introducing the SkyActiv-D engine – a diesel engine – into the United States by 2014.

Ingram Park Mazda, a leading Mazda dealer in San Antonio, is excited to share this news with you as diesel engines, with better fuel economy and cheaper prices than gasoline, may be the future.

“We think it’s a good differentiator,” said Jim O’Sullivan, the CEO of Mazda North American Operations, to Automotive News during the Detroit auto show. It will give Mazda a reputation, he said, that “Those guys are always doing something a little different.”

The engine, which is a 2.2 L four cylinder with 173 hp and 310 lb/ft of torque, will be a standout among the flood of hybrid cars on the market.

It will be found in the CX-5 crossover SUV and Mazda6 sedan, in some markets. Mazda is looking to another car brand for its inspiration for this move.
“Volkswagen, I honestly believe, gets incremental business above and beyond other brands because they do have a diesel, and they buy Volkswagens only because they do have it,” said O’Sullivan.

The engine is expected to have about 30 percent better fuel economy than 29 combined mpg of the SkyActiv gas engine.

Here at Ingram Park Mazda, we can’t wait to see the new engines on our lot of new and used Nissans in San Antonio, and hope you will come check them out when they arrive.

For now, if you are in the market for a new or used Nissan, come let our knowledgeable sales staff give you a tour of a Mazda. If you aren’t quite ready for a change, our dependable service team can keep your vehicle in tip-top shape so you are prepared for anything down the road.

While the leading Mazda dealer in San Antonio, Ingram Park Mazda, is always on the lookout for what’s next, one thing will never change: the customer comes first.

We hope to see you soon!
