2013 Mazda CX-5 Advertising Campaign Gets ‘Better, Stronger, Smarter’

2013 Mazda CX-5 Advertising Campaign Gets ‘Better, Stronger, Smarter’

Mazda recently announced its new advertising and integrated marketing campaign for the 2013 Mazda CX-5. The CX-5 is reportedly getting a campaign to match its unique styling and performance capabilities. The crossover’s ads, titled “Better. Stronger. Smarter,” are meant to express the changes Mazda has made in the auto industry with its technology and design. Ingram Park Mazda, a valued Mazda dealership in San Antonio, TX, celebrates the automaker’s innovation.

Mazda’s Skyactiv technology has taken the automotive industry by storm. The technology refreshed the possibilities for SUVs by improving the fuel economy for larger utility vehicles. This message will be expressed in the automaker’s new 60-second and 30-second national ad spots.

Mazda continues to take its ‘no compromises’ approach very seriously by offering fun-to-drive vehicles that don’t sacrifice fuel economy standards or environmental consciousness. The automaker’s technological advancements have allowed crossover SUVs to be better, stronger and smarter in how they consume fuel and perform.

The new ads featuring the CX-5 narrate the automaker’s message through science fiction-inspired elements and strong 70s-influenced visual elements. Through this aesthetic, Mazda will be able to elaborate on the integral features of the CX-5: fuel economy, technology and safety.

Integrated Marketing will also be involved in sharing the new ads. Brand consumers, Mazda enthusiasts and company employees will be encouraged to share the ads through social media platforms to get the word out. The automaker strives to get people engaged and aware of its products through traditional and new media outlets.

Mazda representatives stated that creative marketing campaigns generate much more interest in distinctive products such as the CX-5. Balancing technology and science with entertainment and creativity is a vital aspect of these new ads.

Ingram Park Mazda Offers Reliable Mazdas in San Antonio

High Safety Ratings Make 2013 Mazda CX-5 IIHS Top Safety Pick

High Safety Ratings Make 2013 Mazda CX-5 IIHS Top Safety Pick

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) recently named the 2013 Mazda CX-5 a “Top Safety Pick” for its outstanding safety ratings. The best crash safety rating a vehicle can receive is “Good” and in each test the CX-5 took the top grade. Ingram Park Mazda, a premier Mazda dealer in San Antonio, TX, strives to offer safe vehicles drivers can rely on.

Equipped with Mazda’s advanced Skyactiv technology, which focuses on fuel efficiency, safety and stability, the CX-5 is one of the automaker’s distinctive cars that people feel confident driving. The CX-5’s fuel economy, power, control and safety are all earmarks of the automaker’s success.

The IIHS conducts tests of a vehicle’s front, side and rear strength during impact. In 2010 the institute also implemented roof strength tests, which the CX-5 passed with flying colors, in the event of a vehicle rollover. Each crash angle is measured against the crash dummies’ injury impact at the moment of the collision.

As one of Mazda’s most well-equipped vehicles, the CX-5 holds nothing back in the technology department. A Skyactiv-MT transmission, 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels, push-button start, daytime running lights (DRL), among several other standard amenities, make the compact CX-5 packed with innovation.

Other features available for the CX-5 include Bluetooth and TomTom technology, a Bose sound system, Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) system and a Skyactiv-Drive transmission, all meant to optimize connectivity, communication and safety.

The CX-5’s Skyactiv body and chassis are reinforced with lightweight, ultra-high tensile steel for a more rigid, quiet and secure performance. Standard safety features include six airbags, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Traction Control System (TCS) and Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children (LATCH).

Ingram Park Mazda offers a variety of new and used Mazda in San Antonio. For more information on the Top Safety Pick, Mazda CX-5, visit the dealership online or on-site today.

Mazda Rotary Engine to Get a Makeover

Ingram Park Mazda Updates Mazdas in San Antonio

Mazda Rotary Engine to Get a Makeover

Mazda Rotary Engine to Get a Makeover

Mazda has been working to develop and improve upon its rotary engine for years; however, the struggle seems to continue for the automaker. The engine has provided increased power, lower emissions and a more reliable ride, yet it continues to offer less than mediocre fuel economy – reaching 23 mpg is a stretch for the rotary. Ingram Park Mazda, a trusted Mazda dealership in San Antonio, TX, is prepared for the more efficient engine.

The rotary engine is currently featured in the Mazda RX-7 and RX-8. Stricter fuel economy and emissions standards are expected to be implemented in the very near future. That being said, the RX-8’s production ends in June, leaving the vehicle without a replacement engine, at least temporarily.

Mitsuo Hitomi, Mazda’s general manager of powertrain development, reported that Mazda has been working diligently to create the next-generation rotary engine that should promise improved gas mileage and respect pollution output guidelines.

Hitomi stated that the automaker is working on ways to improve the rotary engine’s efficiency to match the fuel economy of traditional engines outfitted with pistons. If all goes according to plan, the automaker anticipates introducing the rotary back into the auto industry.

Details of the prospective improvements have not been revealed as the rotary engine is still in development. However, it has been stated that shape of the rotary’s troichoid housing will be altered and the apex seals will be adjusted to be more level, hopefully removing the current engine’s larger issues. The most problematic element of the rotary is that gas pressure in the combustion chamber is making the seals lift at too low a rotation, which could ultimately lead to engine failure.

Aligning all of the seals and chamber elements, replacing spark plugs, and refreshing the laser injection system should create a significantly more improved fuel economy. Ingram Park Mazda offers new and used Mazdas in San Antonio, TX. For updates on the improved Mazda rotary engine, stay connected with the dealership online or on-site.

Saturday, December 24th, 2011

Ingram Park Mazda SkyActivIngram Park Mazda, the leading Mazda dealer in San Antonio is excited to share the new that Mazda’s new SkyActiv Technology engine has garnered plenty of attention in the few short months it has been available.

WardsAuto World recently named the fuel-efficient engine a winner of its 2012 Ward’s 10 Best Engines award – the 10th nod from WardsAuto’s competition that Mazda has received.

Ingram Park Mazda is very excited about this award, and wants to tell you a bit more about SkyActiv Technology and why it has been creating such a buzz in the automotive industry.

But first, how about Jim O’Sullivan, the president and CEO of Mazda North American Operations gives you an introduction:

“With SkyActiv Technology, Mazda has again pushed the boundaries of convention in order to offer consumers world-class vehicle efficiency, best-in-class fuel economy and unprecedented driving dynamics in the form of Zoom-Zoom,” he said.  “Mazda is a passionate brand, focused on engineering, performance, design and improving on everything in between and it is an honor to be recognized for these efforts.”

The engine itself is part of a larger technology package that includes new transmissions as well as stronger and lighter body and chassis systems, all of which improve the vehicle’s efficiency and responsiveness.

The SkyActiv-G 2.0-liter gasoline engine has the world’s highest compression ratio for a mass-produced vehicle – 14:1, in case you were wondering – which is up there with the world’s highest-performance racecars.

It gets a fuel economy of 28 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway.

“There are a lot of fine new affordable four-cylinder engines available in the market today, but the SkyActiv-G 2.0-liter engine in the Mazda3 compact car is the best of the lot,” said Tom Murphy, the executive editor of WardsAuto World.  “On their score sheets, the WardsAuto editors described this sophisticated engine as ‘smooth,’ ‘quick,’ ‘frisky’ and ‘fascinating,’ with an unusually high compression ratio.”

Don’t just take our word for it though, come over to Ingram Park Mazda, the premier Mazda dealer in San Antonio, and try one out for yourself. You’ll be hooked, we promise.

Facelifted Mazda2 with SkyActiv 1.3L revealed in Japan

Monday, July 11th, 2011

Mazda has revealed a revamped Mazda2 (known as the Demio compact in other parts of the Ingram Park Mazda, San Antonio Texas, Mazda 2 with Skyactivworld) recently in Japan. The new Mazda2 contains the first ever production applications of the direct injection, 1.3-liter SkyActiv gasoline engine. SkyActiv is Mazda’s answer to the fuel crisis – focusing on improving internal combustion technology for the new decade. SkyActiv is compatible with hybrids and EVs to reduce fossil fuel consumption as well as greenhouse gas emissions.  You can check out the new Mazda2 here at Ingram Park Mazda, the leading Mazda dealer in San Antonio.

The 1.3-liter engine achieves an unbelievable compression ratio of 14:0:1, and also utilizes a more intelligent start/stop system that uses less fuel when initiating the combustion cycle. This new engine is the most efficient in Mazda’s history. The Mazda2 (or Demio) achieved a rating of 58.8 mpg in the JC08 evaluation (Japanese scale for EPA). Also notable about this engine is the cooled EGR system that reduces knock, along with a multi-hole fuel injector system that cools the combustion chamber. Uniquely situated pistons, dual sequential valve timing and lighter engine internals also account for a decrease in friction – allowing this engine the utmost in efficiency. Mazda has not yet announced if this powertrain will end up in the US market.

New 1.3-Liter Skyactiv-G Engine for Mazda2

Monday, June 6th, 2011

In line with the current political climate, Mazda has constructed a plan to increase its corporate fuel economy by 30 percent, hoping to have the plan executed by 2015. As the world’s oil reserves wane, and fuel prices continue to rise, consumers are looking for not only the newest vehicles but the most fuel efficient as well. Mazda is definitely on its way to making waves with its new SkyActiv line of engines, with the first model – the 2.0 liter Skyactiv-G – already revealed. However, it will be a SkyActiv of a different breed to reach production first – the 1.3-liter I-4 – which will be installed on the new 2012 Mazda 2/Demio. Here at Ingram Park Mazda, the Number One Mazda Dealer in San Antonio we are pleased to hear the news.

With the new SkyActiv 1.3-liter engine comes increased compression, as well as reduced internal friction-Ingram Park Mazda, San Antonio Texas, Mazda Engines, Texas Mazda dealer the components that make the SkyActiv so fuel efficient. The compression ratio will be 14:0:1, matched with direct fuel injection and multi-hold fuel injectors, will allow this engine to accomplish the highest fuel efficiency possible in a traditional internal-combustion gas engine. Mazda will not bring the 1.3-liter Skyactiv to European or North American markets. Currently, the Mazda2 has EPA ratings of 27/33 mpg, with the 1.5-liter I-4 engine and four speed automatic transmission. Mazda Reacts to Earthquakes

Wednesday, March 16th, 2011

The devastating earthquake and resulting tsunami in Japan has created an insurmountable amount of damage to the country. Not only are nearly 380,000 citizens displaced from their homes, cramming into about 2,000 shelters, but almost 220,000 more are homeless, with no hope for temporary housing any time soon. The destruction in Japan is monumental, with death tolls predicted to rise past those of the Kobe quake of 1995. Almost 9,000 people are still unaccounted for, and rescue workers are searching the desolation tirelessly for any who may still be recovered.

Not only have homes, businesses, and families been ripped apart, but the central infrastructure of Japan is in total disarray. With Japan’s immense auto industry hanging in the balance, many suppliers have halted their production to resume at a later date. Mazda of Japan was forced to arrest manufacture at their Hiroshima and Hofu plants, and has announced they will resume temporary production on March 22. The plants will focus on constructing replacement parts and pieces for overseas assembly, and full scale production will commence at a later date.

In the midst of the wreckage, corporate entities have begun to prepare and approve designated aid and donations to help the people of Japan recover. Mazda, being a Japanese automaker, is no exception. The Board of Directors of the Mazda Foundation USA has unanimously approved a $150,000 donation, which will be granted to the American Red Cross Japan Earthquake fund in addition to the Pacific Tsunami Relief fund. Mazda prides themselves on placing a high priority of safety and wellness for their employees, suppliers, and families, and are deeply concerned for their Japanese colleagues.  The donation comes as part of Mazda’s philanthropic foundation, which has awarded over $7 million in grants since its inception in 1992.

Show your support for Japan and stop in to Ingram Park Mazda today.
